Incidental Landscapes: Part 3 of 6

Set one of my travel images are in essence the usual holiday snaps kind of material.  These I take on my Sony RX10iv bridge camera which I try to carry with me most places that we happen to go.  I even take it with me if we are going out for a meal in the evening, ‘just in case.’  It is like I giant version of having my camera phone with me everywhere I go.  It is a hefty piece of kit weighing in at around 1150g (just over 2.5LB) but the beauty of it is that it covers everything from 24mm up to 600mm and gives me a reasonable quality image from its 1” sensor.   It has a superb set of controls to rival any DSLR and with a built-in lens there is no bag of lenses to lug around, so it is always ready to go whatever I want to shoot, wherever I want to shoot it.  And that is priceless.  At times I have struggled to accept that this camera has its limitations, I want it to do more, to do everything. But that is not how it goes.  As with many things in life, it is a compromise. The compromise here is that when it comes to trying to capture exceedingly high quality, detail rich imagery it does lack lustre. Understanding how I am to deal with is still an ongoing process that I am experimenting with.
