Incidental Landscapes: Part 2 of 6

Incidental Landscapes are therefore, just what they say on the tin. They occur as a result of our travels, they just get created along the way. They are not planned or thought about until they happen. I get conscious of the time I take to compose and work out a shot or in my case to be honest, several shots, and then I start to rush, missing vital composition or a camera setting or focus. Back in the editing suite I then feel disappointed with the results. And no, my husband is not grumpy; he is extremely tolerant and patient and I don’t think he’s ever really complained about my taking ‘too long’ to take photos, it’s just me because I know that I often like to take a much longer time than might be expected to get the feel of what I want to capture. Thankfully, solutions and happy mediums are beginning to evolve. Nowadays I take two sets of images when we travel.
