MICHELLE BLAKEN PHOTOGRAPHY

At the time of realisation of the concept of ‘Incidental Landscapes’ I was only really thinking about how I was communicating the resulting landscape images from my more distant travels as a collective body of work.  The more I immerse myself in the project and explore the notions of expression that it has allowed me; whilst I explore the deeper meanings and find my voice, I have come to realise that I take pictures as incidentals more regularly than I have previously given thought to.  In addressing this imperfect conception, I asked myself the question of whether some of the landscape images from my everyday ambles around my home County might also qualify as ‘Incidental Landscapes’ and be worthy of inclusion within the collection.
